Riley Gaines Responds to Trump’s Meme Controversy
On April 12, Riley Gaines shared her thoughts about a contentious AI-generated meme depicting President Trump as Jesus through a post on X. After removing it, Trump was questioned by reporters about whether Gaines influenced his decision. His response was clear: “I don’t listen to Riley Gaines. Actually, I’m not a big fan of Riley.”
In her video response, Gaines reaffirmed her earlier comments regarding Trump’s post while expressing her unwavering support for him and his America First policies. Blaze TV’s Pat Gray praised her approach, suggesting that she managed a tricky situation with poise. During a recent episode of “Pat Gray Unleashed,” he and his panel discussed her video response.
Gaines stated, “I love the president. I support him. I’m always in his corner. I think he’s kind of a master troll, so to speak. But I can’t for the life of me understand why he would post something like this.” She went on to reference her earlier remarks, emphasizing that a bit of humility would benefit Trump and that “God would not be mocked.” However, she faced backlash, with comments labeling her a RINO, a fraud, and even a secret liberal.
Despite the backlash and personal attacks, Gaines maintained her support for Trump. She revealed that after his remarks, many left-wing journalists sought her opinions, hoping for negative comments about the president. “Newsflash: I don’t do what I do or say to be liked,” she clarified, emphasizing her commitment to her moral convictions.
She later issued a heartfelt response to the media, expressing gratitude for having Trump in office and insisting that her aim is to glorify God in all her actions. Gaines concluded her video by sharing her wish for Trump and others to know Jesus, saying, “I want to spend eternity in a very real place called heaven, and I want the president to be there too.” She expressed her commitment to telling the truth and supporting America First policies.
Pat Gray called her video “amazing,” complimenting her for not succumbing to outrage. He, alongside co-host Jeffy, agreed with Gaines that Trump should have shown more humility in his posts. Jeffy suggested that a simple acknowledgment from Trump could have defused the situation quickly.
