"I Was Deported and Believe It Was Right": Recent Deportee Who Went Viral Claims His Story Was Misrepresented

Deported British National Speaks Out

Ted, a British national recently deported from the U.S., gained attention following an interview with the Telegraph. In that conversation, he reflected on his experience, acknowledging his illegal status and agreeing with his deportation.

“I was living in the country illegally, and I was aware of it. I’m not trying to make excuses,” he stated. “America is facing an illegal immigration crisis, and a president who wants a lawful society has not only the right but also the duty to enforce deportations.”

His remarks sparked significant buzz, especially among online right-wing commentators who appreciated his candidness. The Telegraph shared a snippet of Ted’s conversation on social media, highlighting that migrants sent from the U.S. to Britain reported feeling unsupported in their new environment.

Ted expressed some dissatisfaction with the way the Telegraph presented his story, particularly the tweet that suggested deportees from the U.S. were unhappy with their benefits. “I don’t receive any tax money, and I’m not looking for help with resettlement,” he noted, questioning the accuracy of the portrayal.

When asked about broader misconceptions, Ted clarified his political stance, saying, “While I might be seen as a Trump supporter or a staunch Republican, that’s a bit simplistic.” He also pointed out that the piece included clips from a viral TikTok he made, where he criticized his new surroundings sharply.

In that TikTok, he stated, “Right now I’m in England and this place isn’t great. Outside of London, much of it feels like a third-world country.” Ted explained that the Telegraph’s report gave the impression he was a disgruntled deportee who didn’t appreciate the privilege of being in Britain, which was not his sentiment at all.

After his deportation, Ted started sharing his thoughts on social media about his experience and the complexities of his situation. “I actually believe my deportation was justified,” he remarked, making clear that his frustration was directed at institutions like ICE, not specific political figures.
