Voters interviewed by Fox News Digital in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, cited the hardships felt by Wisconsinites across the state and emphasized the big role the economy will play in next month's 2024 election.
“I know my life was much better under President Trump,” retired teacher Sharon Kaufman told Fox News Digital.
She explained that she considered how her family fared under both the Trump-Pence and Biden-Harris administrations, and also considered “all their investments, their lives, their bills” before reaching that conclusion. .
Tim Moss, who works at an alcohol distribution company, explained that “the economy itself is another key factor that is important to young people.'' [and] All elderly people feel stress. ”

Moss predicted that under the Trump administration, “at least we'll be able to buy groceries.”
“Gasoline prices are a lot better. Grocery prices are way down,” said forklift operator Diana Altweese. “I went to the store the other day, didn't buy much, and came back with about two bags, which cost me over $50.”
Sue Matuszak, a retiree, said she couldn't imagine how families like her six adult children would raise their children in the current economic climate. “I don't know what my family is actually doing right now,” she says.
Matuszak's husband, who is also retired, said Trump is a “businessman” and “that's what we need in our government.”

“He's a little bit loud, but he tells it like it is,” Altwies said of Trump, whom he supported in 2016 and 2020.
To her, this shows Trump is fearless when it comes to voicing his opinion and isn't afraid to stand up to anyone.
“Kamala, she's just giggling and not doing anything that they're claiming,” she said.
Other issues motivating these voters to support Trump again include security, foreign policy, immigration, and abortion.
For Wisconsin Democrats, victory in battleground state in 2024 will take years

“I hate seeing babies killed every year,” Matuszak said, explaining that abortion is an important issue to her.
Meanwhile, Kaufman explained, “I truly believe that we should work with women and make them understand what they need to do. It's a difficult decision no matter what.”
Despite ads and messages from Democrats claiming President Trump would enact a federal abortion ban, Kaufman said he doesn't believe such claims.
Matuszak also pointed to the immigration issue, telling Fox News Digital that he was “very disappointed in our open borders.”
“If it's not stopped, I think our country will really be destroyed,” she added.
No one who spoke to Fox News Digital in Waukesha County said they supported the Harris-Waltz ticket.

Voters said they witnessed President Trump and Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) signing frequently across Waukesha County, with numbers comparable to both 2016 and 2020. Ta.
He also said he had seen few signs promoting Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.).
Fox News Digital observed numerous signs across the county that the majority appear to support Trump-Vance and other Republicans. However, in downtown Waukesha, a college town, there were many Harris Waltz signs.

According to U.S. News and World Report, Waukesha County is ranked in the top 15 most-watched battlegrounds in the nation. The suburban Milwaukee county has developed this reputation given the changes over the past decade. Republicans have an advantage in the region overall, but their lead in the county has shrunk during the Trump administration.
Politically, Waukesha County's movement follows a trend away from the Republican Party that other wealthy suburbs have also experienced.
