Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said Wednesday on ABC's The View that she would never vote for former President Donald Trump, but did not rule out voting for incumbent President Joe Biden. Ta.
“The Republican Party itself is clearly so caught up in this cult of personality that I think it's very unlikely that the Republican Party can survive,” Cheney said. “Once we get through 2024, there will be something else, something new. I think it's becoming increasingly clear that we need a political party based on conservative principles and values in this country that can have a dialogue on substance and policy with the Democratic Party. I believe there is.”
She added, “I think there will be a major seismic shift in politics after the 2024 election.”
Co-host Joy Behar said, “If it were Biden vs. Trump, would you vote for Biden?”
“I'm not going to endorse anyone today. And, again, I don't know exactly what the choices are going to be. I'm going to say I'm never going to vote for Donald Trump,” Cheney said. Some conservatives are trying to make the argument that somehow Biden is a greater risk than Trump. In my opinion, I don't agree with many of Joe Biden's policies. We can survive bad policy. We cannot survive by destroying the Constitution.
