‘I Will Not Be Endorsing Donald Trump’

Former Vice President Mike Pence said Friday on Fox News Channel’s “The Story” that he will not support former President Donald Trump as a presidential candidate.

Anchor Martha McCollum said, “President Trump was working on his nomination earlier this week. He’s received support from some of the people who oppose him. We haven’t heard from you. Are you going to support him, did you participate in the election with him last time?”

Mr. Pence said: “Thank you for your question, Martha. It’s no surprise that I won’t support Donald Trump this year. I’m very proud of this administration’s record. It’s made America more prosperous and more secure. , a conservative record that saw conservatives appointed to courts in a more peaceful world.”

“That being said, I have acknowledged that there are significant differences between me and President Trump on a variety of issues, not just regarding the constitutional duties I exercised on January 6th during my presidential campaign. I’ve watched his candidacy unfold, and I’ve watched him move away from our promise to tackle the national debt. We’ve seen people start to shy away from this initiative.”
