Ian Rapoport thinks it's no laughing matter to be intentionally misled by former NFL head coach Mike Malarkey.
Earlier this week, Mularkey Appeared on Jacksonville Sports Talk Show He then revealed that in 2018, he called star NFL insider Rapoport and told reporters that he intended to extend his contract with the Titans even though he actually knew he would be fired.
After watching this clip, Rapoport He revealed his feelings on “The Insiders.” A show he co-hosts on NFL Network.
Mr. Rapoport believed that Mr. Mularkey did not pull the stunt to make fun of himself as a journalist per se, but to create an embarrassing media circus for his soon-to-be former bosses.
“Those guys are making a fuss. I think it's pretty funny for them,” Rapoport said on NFL Network. “If you don't care about accuracy and you're going to take someone's reputation and tarnish it. Everybody said Mike Mularkey was a good guy — he always was to me. I liked him. I thought he was a very respectable person. That's not cool. I was a young reporter at the time, and Mike Mullerkey was getting revenge on his old boss. I thought it was funny, and no matter how much hate and ridicule it got online, it wasn't funny. So I don't have much to say. I don't blame Mike Malarkey, but I want to. It wasn't cool, it wasn't funny, and we deserve more than that.”

Mularkey made the original comments on “Brent & Austin's Jaguars Hour” this Wednesday.
“The best thing I did there last time, and I can tell you now, was when I got called up on Monday morning after the New England game, I knew they were going to fire me.” Mullarkey said. What's covered in Awful Annunciation. “So on Sunday night, I called Ian Rapoport and said, 'Hey, I don't know if you know this, but I'll tell you this. But in the morning, we'll have a new contract. 'And he reported it. By morning, we had contracts all over the country. ”
In the 2017-18 season, the Titans went 9-7 in the AFC Wild Card Round, defeating the Chiefs, but lost to the Patriots 35-14.
