Ian Ziering Faces Legal Trouble from 2023 Road Rage Incident
Ian Ziering, known for his role in “Beverly Hills, 90210,” is now facing legal issues stemming from a road rage incident that occurred in 2023.
According to reports, Jacob Hernandez has filed a civil lawsuit against the actor for several charges, including assault and battery, and other claims related to emotional distress and negligence.
The lawsuit, recently reported, states that Hernandez and a friend were riding motorcycles in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve when they halted in front of Ziering’s parked Mercedes.
Hernandez claimed they “did not obstruct” traffic, especially since there was no movement at that moment.
Afterward, Ziering allegedly exited his vehicle and pushed Hernandez “without permission,” resulting in injuries to both individuals and damage to Hernandez’s motorcycle.
A confrontation then reportedly took place between them, drawing in bystanders who attempted to intervene.
Hernandez accuses Ziering of acting intentionally and unnecessarily, putting everyone at risk for physical and psychological harm. He also alleges that Ziering provided misleading information to law enforcement, leading to Hernandez’s subsequent arrest in May 2024.
Hernandez’s family posted a $50,000 bail for his release, and he feels that Ziering has tarnished his reputation in the media.
He is pursuing both compensatory and punitive damages, along with a jury trial.
As of now, Ziering’s representatives have not provided any comments regarding the legal situation.
Earlier, in January 2024, Ziering addressed the incident in an Instagram statement, describing how his car was aggressively approached while stuck in traffic, leading to a disturbing collision. He noted he stepped out to check for damages, which escalated into a physical conflict.
Ziering expressed relief that he and his daughter were unharmed but voiced concerns over the apparent recklessness of such groups, which he indicated undermines public safety.
Following the incident, a video emerged showing Ziering being physically attacked. Hernandez and another individual faced felony charges months later for criminal damage and assault.
Interestingly, during a court appearance in June 2024, Hernandez learned that no criminal case was pending against him.
