After fleeing custody twice in the Caribbean, a fugitive linked to the murder was captured by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
On April 4, 32-year-old Jamaican citizen, Orville Andrew Pernell was arrested following a homeland security investigation into the homeland security of alcohol, cigarettes, firearms and explosives in Savannah, Georgia, along with extensive investigations and a multinational manhunt.
An ICE official said Pernel was accused of committing a “brutal murder” in St. Lucia in 2020 and was a fugitive for several years.
“For a long time from justice, he was finally detained and faced with consequences,” HSI Atlanta wrote in X’s post along with the image of Pernell.
