ICE Deports Man Accused of Child Rape in Mexico
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported a man alleged to have raped a child in Mexico, despite him being granted a two-year green card during the Biden administration, according to sources.
On October 16, ICE agents sent 28-year-old Christian Ruvalcaba-Salas back to Mexico, where he will face charges related to an alleged brutal child rape from 2022.
Micah Bock, an ICE spokesperson, remarked, “Criminal illegal aliens who are child predators and sex offenders are among the most dangerous, and they have no place in the United States. ICE is dedicated to tracking down these violent offenders to enhance the safety of our communities.”
Ruvalcaba-Salas initially entered the U.S. as a nonimmigrant in January 2020 in Laredo, Texas. He was supposed to leave by July 2020 but didn’t, thereby becoming an undocumented immigrant.
In March 2021, the Biden administration granted him a two-year green card. However, a Mexican court issued a warrant for his arrest two years later, accusing him of child rape that occurred in November 2022.
According to ICE, Ruvalcaba-Salas left the U.S. at an unspecified time before the alleged crime and re-entered Mexico on November 27, 2022, just days after the incident.
In May, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) revoked his green card and initiated deportation proceedings against him. In July, a federal immigration judge ruled for his deportation.
Bret Bradford from ICE criticized the situation, stating, “This dangerous criminal alien, alleged to have committed horrific acts against a child in Mexico, leveraged his immigration status from the Biden administration to cross into Mexico, commit a violent crime, and then return to the U.S. to avoid justice.”
Bradford emphasized that Ruvalcaba-Salas’s status allowed him to remain free in the U.S. for an extended period, threatening public safety, even though he was wanted in Mexico for serious offenses and had multiple arrests in the U.S. “Fortunately, our officers tracked him down and returned him to Mexico to face charges,” he concluded.
