ICE Arrests in Minnesota Target Criminal Illegal Immigrants

On Friday, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed significant arrests made by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minnesota’s Twin Cities. The apprehended individuals include those with serious convictions, such as child molesters, murderers, drunk drivers, and violent assaulters.

Aldrin Guerrero Muñoz, for example, is an illegal immigrant who was sentenced to 32 years for the intentional killing of his 3-month-old son, remaining behind bars since 2004 at taxpayer expense. According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), he was also convicted of assaulting another inmate at the Stillwater Correctional Facility. He was apprehended by ICE on Monday following a detainer complaint.

Noem criticized the Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, suggesting that his stance against ICE allows criminals like Guerrero Muñoz to exist within the community without challenge. She stated, “We will no longer allow moral superiority or political correctness to overshadow the safety of American citizens.” A notable statistic shared by Noem indicated that around 70% of ICE arrests target illegal immigrants with prior convictions or charges in the U.S., excluding foreign fugitives and gang members.

Other individuals arrested in this operation include:
