ICE Detains Top-Level Killers and Rapists in Minnesota

ICE Releases List of Criminals to Address Immigration Concerns

In a move to address growing frustration over federal immigration policies in Minnesota and other areas, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has published a troubling list of serious offenders—including murderers and child rapists—who were apprehended in sanctuary states.

This list, which features mugshots and details of their criminal histories, reportedly aims to shed light on individuals whom some Democratic leaders describe as “neighbors” in their efforts to challenge ICE’s activities. Officials indicated that these are the very people that politicians are protecting, sparking considerable debate.

White House press secretary Caroline Levitt shared a post that included a “worst” offenders list compiled by reporter Bill Melgin, expressing gratitude for ICE’s work. She stated, “This is why we have ICE agents. God bless their thankless work protecting American communities from these sick people.”

The offenders outlined in the list have been convicted of heinous crimes such as murder and the sexual assault of minors, and they are believed to have been living freely in Minnesota.

ICE Director Todd M. Lyons emphasized to FOX that despite the political discourse surrounding the topic, ICE will continue to detain those illegal immigrants who pose significant threats in Minnesota and beyond. He expressed frustration that some of these criminals have been allowed to remain in the community for decades, even with removal orders against them.

Lyons stressed, “ICE arrests prevent recidivism and make communities safer, but it seems local politicians are more interested in creating discontent than actually protecting their constituents.”

This announcement followed protests in cities including Minneapolis, triggered by the shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by an immigration officer. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) claims the officer acted in self-defense when Good accelerated towards him in her vehicle.

With this list’s release, immigration officials appear to be countering ongoing criticisms of ICE and President Trump, particularly from figures like Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

Tom Homan, a notable figure in immigration enforcement, observed that the heated discussions since the shooting only serve to justify potential violent actions against ICE agents.

Levitt remarked in her social media post that it’s deeply troubling to witness public protests against law enforcement who are doing their jobs of deporting dangerous individuals.

DHS also shared a post highlighting that “Lawbreakers commit violence in Minneapolis,” reinforcing the need for their enforcement actions.

Nevertheless, critics of ICE didn’t find the list convincing, with some activists sharing videos depicting ICE agents confronting immigrant families in various situations, questioning the part of the narrative that showcases ICE in a solely negative light.

The current list contains at least 18 criminals, mainly from nations like Laos, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Burma, and Guatemala, with only one being from Mexico.
