ICE detains unauthorized immigrants with convictions for murder and sexual assault.

On Thursday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) revealed a list of some of the most dangerous illegal immigrants in the country, referring to them as the “worst of the worst.” These individuals have been convicted of serious crimes, including murder, child sexual abuse, and drug trafficking.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) pointed out five illegal immigrants from various countries—Vietnam, Honduras, Cuba, and Mexico—who have been convicted of these offenses. Tricia McLaughlin, an assistant secretary at DHS, said that while some politicians are releasing criminal illegal aliens, ICE continues to make arrests. She noted that just the day before, they arrested someone with convictions for murder, child sexual assault, and drug trafficking.

McLaughlin mentioned that almost 70 percent of ICE’s arrests involve undocumented immigrants charged or convicted of a crime. Interestingly, this statistic doesn’t even cover those foreign fugitives or gang members who may not have records in the U.S.

Among those highlighted was Muoi Van Duong, an illegal immigrant from Vietnam, who was found guilty of murder in San Diego. Another individual, Roberto Xochimitl-Flores from Mexico, was convicted in New York City for second-degree sexual abuse involving a child under 14.

Additionally, Lisandro Omar Borjas Aguilano from Honduras has a conviction for child sexual assault in Texas. Rigoberto Salvia-Ricardo, a Cuban national, was also found guilty of sexually assaulting a juvenile in Louisiana.

Lastly, Ricardo Rosas Tapia, another illegal immigrant from Mexico, faced convictions related to cocaine distribution in North Carolina. Each of these cases reflects the continuing challenges surrounding illegal immigration and criminal activity in the U.S.
