ICE Weekend Arrests Target Serious Criminals
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended individuals who had previously been convicted of serious crimes such as murder, child sexual offenses, sexual assaults, and drug-related crimes over the weekend.
“During this weekend, our dedicated ICE agents made arrests of unlawful foreigners involved in severe crimes, including murderers, rapists, and child predators,” stated Tricia McLaughlin from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
These are the types of egregious criminals that our ICE officers work to arrest and remove from American communities on a daily basis. Even with a staggering increase of 830% in attacks directed at our ICE personnel, they remain committed to enhancing safety in our communities each day.
In Texas, ICE agents detained Jose Alinaga Ramirez, a 58-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico, who had been convicted of aggravated sexual assault against a child, alongside 37-year-old Gilmer Vertis Bustemante.
In California, law enforcement arrested 37-year-old Chuube, an illegal alien from Laos, who was convicted of attempted murder and multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon, as well as 55-year-old Henry Jose Marquez from Venezuela for cocaine-related offenses.
In Pennsylvania, ICE agents arrested 35-year-old Gil Salinas Anaglo from Peru, along with 27-year-old Juan Ramirez Velázquez from Guatemala, who had been convicted of child rape.
In New York, agents took into custody 30-year-old Jamaican illegal alien Adams Scott for attempted robbery, and 22-year-old Sakilu Akkan for committing rape with consent.
Meanwhile, agents in Boston arrested 29-year-old Giovannel Giron Meneseth from the Philippines, who faced serious charges including aggravated child rape and multiple counts of indecent assault against minors and adults.
In St. Louis, Missouri, ICE agents apprehended Nodir Negatov from Uzbekistan, linked to arms-related international transport.
In Atlanta, Georgia, agents arrested Emmanuel Evaliste, a 39-year-old illegal alien from Haiti, convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
