ICE nabs Salvadoran illegal immigrant who allegedly raped child, reentered US as gotaway

An illegal immigrant from El Salvador was arrested and charged with multiple sex crimes against children in Massachusetts after re-entering the U.S. at an unknown time, Boston Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced Monday.

According to ICE Boston, agents arrested 28-year-old Salvadoran national Brian Daniel Aldana Albero, who was in the country illegally, and charged him with numerous sex crimes against children on Nantucket Island.

“Brian Daniel Aldana Arevalo has been accused of several abhorrent and disturbing crimes against Nantucket children,” Todd M. Lyons, director of ERO's Boston field office, said in a statement.

“He poses a grave danger to the children of our Massachusetts communities. ERO Boston will not tolerate such threats against the most vulnerable of our residents. We will continue to prioritize the safety of our residents by apprehending and removing these violent criminal aliens from our New England neighborhoods,” Lyons continued.

Authorities said Aldana illegally entered the United States on an unknown date and at an unknown location without being inspected, admitted or released on parole by U.S. immigration authorities.

Nantucket authorities charged Aldana on July 26 in Nantucket District Court with one count of rape of a child 10 years younger than him and two counts of lewd acts with a child under the age of 14.

The Nantucket District Court set bail for Aldana on July 29.

ERO Boston officers arrested Aldana in Nantucket on September 10 and notified him to appear before a Department of Justice immigration judge.

Last week, ICE's Boston office conducted an operation on Nantucket that targeted several “egregious” illegal immigrant sex offenders, resulting in several arrests — the first arrests announced by ICE as a result of that operation.

“ERO Boston can confirm that we have been working with the Nantucket Police Department in Nantucket, Massachusetts on a targeted enforcement operation. This operation, which targeted several vicious criminal aliens, took place over the past few days and concluded this morning,” ERO Boston spokesman James Covington said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“ERO Boston would like to thank the Nantucket Police Department for their cooperation and assistance throughout this process. As many aspects of the analysis are still ongoing, ERO will not comment further at this time. ERO Boston will be releasing more information in the coming days,” Covington said.

Authorities said Aldana remains in ERO custody.
