ICE Reintroduces Tip Line After Illegal Immigrant Is Charged with Hate Crime in Colorado Attack

ICE Reopens Tip Line After Boulder Attack

Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) is restarting its tip line following serious incidents involving illegal immigrants charged with attempted murder and federal hate crimes related to attacks on supporters of Israel in Boulder, Colorado.

Prosecutors in Colorado have charged 45-year-old Mohamed Sabri Soliman, an illegal immigrant, with multiple counts including attempted murder and first-degree assault. Specifically, he faces charges across eight counts of attempted first-degree murder due to actions involving extreme indifference to human life, as well as possession of an incendiary device.

According to police reports, Soliman allegedly used a makeshift flamethrower and a Molotov cocktail during an attack at a gathering held near Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, which was in support of Israeli hostages captured by Hamas terrorists, injuring eight people.

Witnesses noted that he shouted “Free Palestine” while allegedly trying to harm those present. Federal prosecutors have also leveled hate crime charges against him.

Following the attack, ICE officials announced the relaunch of their tip lines, encouraging the public to report suspicious activities linked to individuals believed to be illegal immigrants.

“For four years, the Biden administration has allowed millions of illegal aliens to pour into our country, including terrorists, gang members, and other violent criminals,” a spokesperson stated.

Director Noem has pledged additional resources and personnel to enhance the ICE tip line, aiming to reduce crime in the community. Reports of suspicious criminal behavior can be made by calling 866-DHS-2-ICE at 866-347-2423. Officials, including President Trump and Secretary Noem, are committed to improving public safety and making the community safer.

Soliman arrived in the U.S. on a tourist visa in August 2022, which expired in February 2023. He did not leave as required by federal law, making him an illegal immigrant. Even after his visa expired, the previous administration had granted him a work permit in March 2023, which also expired the following March.

Interestingly, it has been reported that Soliman attempted to enter the U.S. 20 years ago but was denied a visa. He is currently held in custody in Colorado, where prosecutors are seeking a bail amount of $10 million.
