An Idaho bar owner is facing a wave of death threats after offering free beer to those assisting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in identifying and deporting undocumented immigrants, yet he remains committed to his cause.
“At Old State Saloon, we like to make bold claims about conservative Christian principles and share the truth,” bar owner Mark Fitzpatrick stated. This was reported on a news platform recently.
The announcement triggered significant reactions online, with opinions divided between supporters and detractors.
“Warning: Anyone who helps ICE to identify and deport illegal aliens from Idaho will receive a month of free beer at the Old State Saloon!” read a recent post.
Fitzpatrick’s motivation stemmed from dissatisfaction with four years of what he sees as the former President Biden’s open border policies, which he believes have disrupted American society. He claims he’s being targeted for his support of ICE, with some suggesting he deserves to be harmed.
On Saturday, the saloon shared a post threatening Fitzpatrick, showing an image of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, shortly before his assassination in September with the caption, “It should have been you.”
Another post implied that Fitzpatrick was being blackmailed concerning his cultural views.
Furthermore, audio recordings were shared from individuals making aggressive remarks. One voice stated, “Hey, you fucking Nazi, go back to California, you California immigrant bastard. Idaho was better before you got here.”
Despite these threats, Fitzpatrick noted a significant amount of support from many conservative Christians who praised him for his stance on immigration. He recounted a conversation with someone who claimed to have lost their job for wearing an Old State Saloon hoodie.
Fitzpatrick has initiated a crowdfunding campaign to cover security costs, raising approximately $3,000 so far. The fundraiser details threats against his historic building and family, alongside a notification from the Idaho State Tax Commission about an audit, which he views as coincidental timing.
The fundraiser emphasizes solidarity against the threats, saying, “This is what America will look like in 2025. We are not backing down. Merry Snitchmas. Deport everyone. God bless you, your family, and the United States of America.”
Fitzpatrick commented on the situation, suggesting that those making threats are revealing their true nature.
Previously, reports indicated that President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security has deported over 500,000 undocumented immigrants since his mass deportation initiative commenced.
