The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continued attacks against Hamas terrorists in Rafah and across Gaza on Monday, Israel’s Independence Day, despite continued international criticism and White House warnings.
The IDF said in a statement:
IDF forces continue to operate against terrorist targets in eastern Rafah and areas on the Gaza side of the Rafah border. IDF forces eliminated several armed terrorist groups in close combat on the Gaza side of the Rafah border.
In eastern Rafah, IDF forces eliminated numerous terrorists and discovered weapons. IAF aircraft attacked the terrorist group as it was leaving the launch site. In addition, the IDF attacked the launch pad, from which additional terrorists conducted operations and opened fire on IDF forces.
Overnight, IDF forces expanded their operations in the Jabaliya region and conducted targeted operations against additional terrorist targets in the region.
During the day, troops engaged in numerous battles, eliminating dozens of terrorists who had opened fire on troops with tank fire and dismantling an explosive network planted in the area.
IAF aircraft attacked and eliminated terrorists armed with RPGs who were spotted near IDF forces and were attempting to fire on them.
Additionally, Israeli Defense Forces forces have continued operations against terrorist targets in the Zeitoun area over the past day. During the operation, IDF forces discovered a tunnel shaft and dismantled several launchers. Additionally, the IDF eliminated several terrorists and dismantled weapons storage facilities and additional terrorist infrastructure.
Yesterday (Monday), IAF fighter jets attacked a terrorist organization’s operations room in the central Gaza Strip and eliminated five terrorists operating there.
In addition, IDF forces used tank fire to eliminate several terrorists who were advancing toward IDF forces operating in the area.
Additionally, over the past day, IAF jets and additional aircraft have struck more than 100 terrorist targets across the Gaza Strip, including armed terrorists, booby-trapped structures, and additional terrorist infrastructure.
The IDF distributed photos of soldiers operating throughout the Gaza Strip.
There were also unconfirmed reports on social media of IDF soldiers enjoying Independence Day fireworks in Rafah.

Additionally, the Israel Defense Forces attacked Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. It is rumored that the airstrike used bunker-destroying bombs capable of penetrating deep underground fortifications. according to Abu Ali Express Telegram Account.
