The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have released the names of 12 more terrorists killed in an airstrike on a military compound at Al-Tabein School in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 31.
The IDF has strongly disputed Hamas’ claim that the attack killed 100 people, many of them civilians. It released a video analysis of the attack and claims that precision weapons were used to hit buildings used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists on the school’s compound, and that steps were taken beforehand to mitigate the risk to civilians around the school.
The IDF and the Israel Security Agency (ISA, Shin Bet and Shabak) released the names of 12 more in a statement.

Israeli government spokesman David Mensah told reporters on Monday that the airstrikes “cannot have caused the damage or casualties reported by Hamas,” and drew parallels to Israel’s false claim in October that an airstrike on Al-Ahli hospital in Gaza City killed 500 people.
In reality, an errant Islamic Jihad rocket had landed in the hospital’s parking lot, and the casualties were far fewer than Hamas had reported.
Mensah noted that Hamas’ war strategy is to use civilian infrastructure such as hospitals and schools as military installations and divert them from civilian purposes in order to facilitate the killing of civilians.
