IDF Soldiers Rescue Arab Muslim Israeli Hostage from Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released photos on Tuesday of the rescue of hostage Kaid Farhan al-Qadi, 52, from a Hamas tunnel in the Gaza Strip.

Breitbart News reported:

Israel said on Tuesday that a special operation by Shayette 13, Israel's equivalent of the U.S. Navy SEALs, had rescued a Bedouin Israeli Arab hostage, Kaid Farhan al-Qadi, 52, from a Hamas tunnel in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas has killed dozens of Israeli Arabs and Muslims, alienating these communities from the Palestinian cause.

“To us, all remaining hostages are important, regardless of their religion. That's what Israel is all about.” [Israeli government spokesman David] Mensah said: “Yes, of course we are a Jewish home, but our declaration is [of Independence] …reveals… [we are] I have always lived in peace with the people who live here.”

Army Radio reported that the rescue was the first successful rescue of hostages from inside a Hamas tunnel, but it was unclear how long the hostages had been held captive there, as they were not found inside the tunnel after the escape.

The Israel Defense Forces released photographs showing al-Qadi being greeted by soldiers and taken to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.

There are still 108 hostages remaining in Gaza, at least half of whom are believed to be alive, and the Biden administration is focused on negotiating a deal to free them, which would also include a partial withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and the release of convicted Palestinian terrorists.
