The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Sunday that it believes Hamas terrorists have developed cruise missile capabilities with help from Tehran.

In a press release obtained by The Times of Israel, the Israeli military said it found evidence of advanced capabilities during raids in Gaza City's Darazi and Tufa neighborhoods.

”[The IDF found] “These components prove that Hamas terrorists, under Iranian guidance, have studied how to operate and manufacture precision components and strategic weapons,” the IDF said in a statement.

In X, IDF posted a video A photo of an Israeli soldier checking a cache of weapons and equipment while speaking Hebrew.

“Under Iranian guidance, Hamas operatives learned how to operate and manufacture precision missile production components and strategic weapons,” the post said.

“This was demonstrated by the discovery by IDF troops of a weapons production site located inside a 100-meter-long Hamas tunnel discovered in Daraj Tufa, northern Gaza,” the Israeli military added.

The news comes as the war between Israel and Hamas entered its third month on Sunday. The latest fighting began on October 7, when Hamas terrorists shelled Israel in an attack on the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah.

Hamas' military framework in the northern Gaza Strip has been dismantled by Israel, according to a press conference held by Israeli Defense Forces spokesman Maj. Gen. Daniel Hagari on Saturday.
