If ‘Orange Man’ Wins, We Will Not Have a Livable Future

Actress and activist Jane Fonda said on CNN’s “The Situation Room” on Tuesday that we won’t have a livable future if former President Donald Trump is elected in November.

“This November election, this really is an existential election, and who wins in November will determine whether we have a livable future or not. That’s it. It’s a very tough choice. I’m not 100 percent happy with President Biden, but he’s someone that we, the American people, can work with,” Fonda said.

She added: “So I decided to get involved in this election because I thought it was so important and existential.”

“So let me follow up with a question: Jane, are you supporting President Biden to support him or to stop Donald Trump?” host Wolf Blitzer asked.

“Both. I’ve known Joe Biden for a long time,” Fonda said.

She added, “I’m an environmental activist through and through, so I think that’s the best way to explain what would happen if the Orange Man were elected. You know because you read in the paper recently, he invited all the CEOs of the major oil companies to Mar-a-Lago for a meeting and basically said, ‘Give me a billion dollars and I’m going to cut all the environmental regulations because I don’t like clean air and clean water, all of which are supposed to protect the American people. That’s why I want to elect Joe Biden, because time is running out. I have grandchildren, and they’re not going to see the worst of it, but we have to confront the climate crisis, and we have to do it fast.'”
