John Bolton, the former national security adviser, stated on MSNBC’s “Ana Cabrera Reports” that President Donald Trump would likely face a “fighter each” crisis very soon.
Meanwhile, during NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Trump seemed to downplay the idea but didn’t entirely dismiss it.
He commented, “I’m not going to do that, but I wouldn’t rule out anything. No, you’re there, you need it. We need it very badly.”
Cabrera probed about the potential of using military force to take Greenland, asking, “Is that something Americans are considering?”
Bolton responded, “That won’t happen. If it were to occur, it would trigger a crisis almost immediately. Trump often gets something right but then complicates the situation. Seward attempted to purchase Alaska from Denmark the previous year from Russia, representing all NATO members without addressing any invasion.”
