Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) said Tuesday on CNN's “News Central” that Democrats have a “liberal litmus test” that hinders diversity of opinion.
Moulton said, “Well, it seems like we have a set of liberal litmus tests, and if you don't meet that litmus test, you're not even allowed to share your opinions. So this is what many Americans… is the attitude that we feel the Democratic Party has towards the country as a whole. If you disagree with us, you're not only wrong, you're a bad person. is the subject of debate So I gave the example of transgender women in sports, which is just one of many issues that we're not even allowed to discuss. They're tired of it. They say, “Why would I want to belong to a party where my opinions aren't valid or up for debate?'' The definition of a majority party is, you know, Americans. It encompasses the majority opinion. And many feel that the Democratic Party is now in a situation. So if you want to start winning again, you have to start being open to more ideas. ”
