Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (N.Y.) called Progressive Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota) and Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Washington) on Friday after visiting Cuba privately for a debate. I dropped it off at Fox & Friends. “Human Rights.” Malliotakis is the daughter of Cuban exiles from Fidel Castro’s regime.

As domestic border crisis worsens, Progressive House Democratic Party secretly conducts “human rights” trip to Cuba

Nicole Malliotakis: They are anti-American congressmen, okay? They are communist sympathizers and they go to Cuba, which is not only a state sponsor of terrorism, but is on the side of our enemy. They are in bed with Iran, North Korea, communist China, and Russia. They allow us to operate a spy base 90 miles from our shores. They were harboring fugitives. They are harboring terrorists. And it’s unconscionable that these congressmen would go there to try to appease the Cuban government. And they pretend they want to do something about human rights. Do they know that people in Cuba, including my relatives, earn about $15 a month, $15 a month? So they come here to the United States and preach about fair wages. Everyone should earn a living wage. And they go support a government that pays its citizens $15. And do you know why? That’s a farce. This is a farce. Because all of these members voted against the Stand with the Cuban People resolution in 2021, when the Cuban people were in the streets, fighting for their lives, fighting for their freedom. The Socialist Squad and Jayapal all voted against the people and against the Cuban regime.

of House of Representatives Democrats led a small delegation on a private visit to the island nation last week as the border crisis continues to impact ordinary Americans here at home, according to a new report late Tuesday. .

Far left “squad” Rep. Omar and Congressional Progressive Caucus Chairman Jayapal led a group of more than a dozen people, including staff from the office of Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., to Havana, a CPC spokesperson said. said the following: “I met with people from across Cuba’s civil society and with government officials to discuss human rights and the bilateral relationship between the United States and Cuba.”

The trip was not disclosed by officials or reported by Cuban state media, despite the continued U.S. embargo on the communist island nation, the Miami Herald reported.

FOX News Digital has reached out to Omar, Jayapal and Lee’s offices for comment.
