Ilhan Omar Should Face Jail Time for Minnesota's Billions in Fraud

Trump Challenges Minnesota Officials Over Fraud Allegations

On Saturday, President Donald Trump reached out to Minnesota’s Democratic leaders with a strong message, suggesting that the scale of fraud in the state is far worse than anyone initially thought.

In a post for Truth Social, he zeroed in on Representative Ilhan Omar and Governor Tim Walz. Trump claimed, “The theft and fraud in Minnesota is far higher than the $19 billion originally predicted. The Biden administration was aware of this fraud and did nothing about it.”

He did not hold back, calling Omar a “scammer” and suggesting that she and her associates should face severe consequences. “Governor Walz may be either the most corrupt or the least competent official in history,” he added. “Even individuals with, well, not the brightest minds—there are quite a few—should have known what was going on in Minnesota!!!” he concluded.

Recent information indicates that the US Department of Justice initiated an investigation into Omar’s finances during Joe Biden’s presidency, especially after reports surfaced that her net worth surged by $30 million since her election.

According to Breitbart News:

Rep. James Comer has announced plans to subpoena Omar’s husband, Tim Mynette, due to their questionable financial situation.

Previous reports indicated that Omar and Mynett’s combined net worth could range from $6 million to $30 million by 2024.

Concerns have emerged regarding significant welfare fraud linked to Minnesota’s Somali community, raising questions about Omar’s awareness and involvement. It was reported in December that this fraud could amount to over $1 billion, allegedly affecting the state’s generous welfare programs.

Omar has denied any allegations of her being worth millions, asserting that she’s being unfairly targeted by conservatives. Despite this, Trump accused Omar and Walz of using civil unrest surrounding Immigration and Customs Enforcement actions to divert attention from the ongoing fraud issues.

He also called for a formal criminal investigation into Omar.

As noted on January 23, Omar serves in Minnesota’s 5th House of Representatives and is currently the subject of an investigation by the House Oversight Committee regarding her finances and those of her husband.
