An illegal alien has been charged with stabbing a man to death at a Days Inn hotel in Sumter County, Florida, police said.
Ricardo Agustín Lorenzo is an illegal immigrant from Guatemala. arrested He was charged with second-degree murder by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on April 13.
Police said Lorenzo was at the Days Inn in Wildwood, Florida, when he allegedly stabbed Builder Pablo, also an illegal immigrant from Guatemala. Police arrived at the scene and determined that Pablo required immediate medical treatment.
Pablo was airlifted to a hospital in Gainesville, Florida, where he died from his stab wounds.
Police eventually found Lorenzo hiding in a wooded area along a nearby interstate and took him into custody.
Lorenzo is being held without bail, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has requested that Lorenzo be taken into custody and taken into custody if he is released at any time.
