An illegal alien is accused of breaking into a home in St. Joseph County, Michigan and sexually assaulting two girls under the age of 13.
Miguel Hernandez Ruiz, 25, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested.Paid WoodTV reports that he is charged with first-degree burglary and two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under 13 years of age.
According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, on March 20, Hernandez-Ruiz is suspected of breaking into a home at the Sweet Lake Mobile Home Park in Sturgis, Michigan. When police arrived at the scene, they found two girls who had been sexually assaulted.
A search for the suspect continued, and Hernandez-Ruiz was eventually arrested in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in early April. He fought extradition before being charged in St. Joseph County in the case.
Hernandez Ruiz Arrived He will enter the United States in August 2021 on an H-2A visa, a category of visa assigned to foreign nationals working in agriculture. He did not leave the United States when his visa expired in December 2021. In other words, he became an illegal alien.
He was extradited from Indiana and remains in custody in St. Joseph County without bail. The next court date is April 30th.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained Hernandez-Ruiz. The detainee has asked local authorities to turn him over to ICE officials if he is to be released from custody at any time.
