Illegal Alien Sexually Abused Child After Sneaking into U.S. Decade Ago

An illegal immigrant who sneaked into the United States more than a decade ago and was convicted of child sexual abuse and other offenses in Maryland has finally been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Luis Portillo Enriquez, a 39-year-old illegal immigrant from El Salvador, Crossed The incident, which occurred at least 14 years ago at the US-Mexico border, was considered a “getaway.” In April 2010 and September 2017, Portillo-Enriquez was convicted of driving while intoxicated and driving without a license in Baltimore County, Maryland.

For those two convictions, Portillo Enriquez received probation.

In August 2021, Portillo-Enriquez was arrested and charged with a traffic violation in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The following month, he was arrested and charged with DUI in Frederick County, Maryland.

In March 2023, Portillo-Enriquez was arrested in Baltimore, Maryland and charged with driving while license suspended. That same month, he was arrested and charged in Baltimore with second-degree rape, second-degree child abuse, sexual abuse of a minor while in the same household, two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

In August 2023, Portillo-Enriquez was convicted of sexually abusing a child while in his home and sentenced to 25 years in prison, after which the court suspended all but 18 months of the sentence.

In April 2023, Portillo-Enriquez was convicted of DUI in Frederick County and sentenced to one year in prison. In April of this year, Portillo-Enriquez was convicted of a traffic violation in Prince George’s County and in May was convicted of driving with a suspended license.

Portillo Enriquez was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Ellicott City, Maryland this month and issued a Notice of Appearance (NTA) before a federal immigration judge. He is in ICE custody pending deportation.
