A 15-year-old illegal alien has been charged with attempted murder after he was caught on surveillance camera filming a woman in Times Square, in the heart of midtown Manhattan in the sanctuary city of New York City.
Jesús Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, was arrested. Paid A man caught on camera fatally shooting a 38-year-old female tourist from Brazil in Times Square on Thursday was charged with attempted murder on Friday.
Rivas-Figueroa was denied bail and remains in jail because a Manhattan judge deemed him a flight risk, likely because of his immigration status.

According to the New York City Police Department (NYPD), Rivas-Figueroa was shoplifting at a Times Square sporting goods store on February 8 when a security guard stopped her.
Surveillance camera footage shows Rivas-Figueroa opening fire, striking the female tourist, striking her in the leg, then fleeing the scene and jumping onto the city’s subway train to return to his mother’s residence in Yonkers.
New York City police officers said Rivas-Figueroa fired a shot while fleeing, but did not hit any officers or passersby in midtown Manhattan.
After Rivas-Figueroa returned to his mother’s home in Yonkers, he attempted to flee New York City the next morning, but federal marshals arrived at his doorstep and took him into custody, NYPD officers allege. .
Rivas-Figueroa arrived in the U.S. less than six months ago, likely via the U.S. southern border, where the Biden administration releases tens of thousands of illegal aliens into American society every few days.

Rivas-Figueroa lives in a taxpayer-funded immigrant shelter on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and was reportedly involved in another armed robbery in the Bronx and a shooting in midtown Manhattan in January. He was also involved.
