The illegal alien was charged last week with the murder of 27-year-old Washington state trooper Christopher Gadd in the sanctuary jurisdiction of Snohomish County, Washington.

On March 2, Gadd was parked on the shoulder of an interstate in Snohomish County when witnesses say Santana struck him. Witnesses said Santana was swerving and speeding at the time.
Prosecutors said Gadd died in the crash, leaving behind his wife, Camryn, and their 2-year-old daughter.
When police arrived at the scene of the accident, they found Santana with blood in his eyes. He later admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking two beers before getting behind the wheel.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials confirmed that Santana is an illegal alien who has lived in the sanctuary of Washington for at least 10 years. He was arrested in May 2013 for driving without a license and later sentenced to 90 days in jail for marijuana possession.
Santana is a Mexican national who is in the U.S. illegally, according to an ICE spokesperson.

Then, in late 2013, Santana spent 90 days in jail for failing to appear in court on a charge of driving without a license. In May 2019 he was charged with domestic violence.
