An illegal immigrant from Guatemala has been arrested in Utah and charged with raping an 11-year-old girl, according to reports.
Jonathan Estuardo Ruano Garcia, 26, was arrested by Provo police early Monday morning.
Mr. Ruano Garcia was charged with felony child rape, solicitation of a minor, and forgery.
The forgery charge stems from Luano-Garcia reportedly having a Social Security card in his wallet when he was booked into the Utah County Jail, which authorities said did not appear to be genuine. ” he said.
“When asked about the Social Security card, Luano-Garcia admitted it was fake and that he had paid for it when he came to the United States,” police said.
On Sunday around 11:15 p.m., the mother returned to her apartment in Provo, Utah. She reportedly witnessed an adult male leave the apartment, and after making eye contact with him, he “scurried away.”
According to arrest documents, a mother found her 11-year-old daughter naked in the hallway.

The Guatemalan national allegedly told police he had sex with the girl for 20 to 30 minutes.
Ruano Garcia claimed he believed the girl was 13 or 14 years old.

“Ruano-Garcia admitted that his conversations with the victim became sexual in nature and that he sent multiple photos of his naked penis,” the police report states. .
Investigators used social media communications to quickly track Ruano-Garcia to his home in the nearby town of Lehi.
Luano-Garcia is currently being held without bail in the Utah County Jail with Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody.
