A Georgia real estate agent has died in an apparent drunk-driving accident. An undocumented minor from Honduras allegedly ran a red light at 160 mph and hit a driver.
Police in Chamblee, Ga., say around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, 20-year-old Christian Fernando Elias Ruiz ran a red light at 160 mph, T-boned another car and killed the driver. announced that he had died. To local station WSB-TV.
Family and friends identified the accident victim as 37-year-old Jimmy Chan, according to his social media and GoFundMe page.
Officials told Fox News Digital that the suspect is an illegal immigrant from Honduras. He was arrested by Border Patrol in South Texas around June 2021 and released.

ICE also placed detainees in the DeKalb County Jail, the official said.
Elias Ruiz is charged with multiple charges including first-degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, reckless driving, speeding and possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age.
Police told WSB-TV that Elias Ruiz was also driving without insurance, without a license and with a suspended registration.
“It's not going to bring my brother back, but I hope justice is served,” Jason Chan, Jimmy Chance's brother, told WSB-TV. “We are at a loss as to what to do now.”
Four people were injured in the crash, including Elias Ruiz, the two passengers in his car, and the driver of the third car, all of whom were taken to the hospital.

The America Asia Real Estate Association (AREAA) also confirmed Mr. Chan's passing and expressed its condolences.
“With deep sadness and heavy hearts, the AREAA Atlanta Chapter BOD would like to announce the sudden passing of our chapter president and dear friend Jimmy Chan,” the post reads.

Chan's brother told WSB-TV that the family was devastated and still in shock over the loss of their beloved Jimmy.
“It's a shock for the whole family right now. We still can't accept his death. He touched so many lives,” Jason Chan said.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Chamblee Police Department for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
