Two of America’s most pressing concerns today are illegal immigration and declining trust in our electoral system.
Although these may seem like two separate issues, in some ways they may be closely related.
“Experts warn that all this illegal immigration could have a major impact on House seats and the Electoral College,” says Sara Gonzalez. “Shortly after taking office as president in 2021, Joe Biden signed an executive order requiring the U.S. Census Bureau to consider all residents, including noncitizens, as part of its calculations of the U.S. population.”
According to a report by the Federation for American Immigration Reform, there are an estimated “16.8 million illegal immigrants” living in the United States, but that number is likely much higher. many taller than.
“16.8 million is impossible,” Sarah says. “Each seat in the House of Representatives represents an average of 761,168 residents, so they say the total number of illegal immigrants accounts for approximately 22 seats in the House of Representatives.”
“You can’t be 22 years old. You can’t be 22 years old.” It’s probably much more than that because there are far more illegal immigrants than are being reported.
