Illinois church under fire for controversial sign about open borders, immigration

Illinois churches have been shaken up after they have made indications about illegal immigration and open borders. Liberals even mess up signs that they denigrate black pastors as “white supremacists.”

Pastor James Pittman pointed out that there was no controversy over the signs of the first “six days” before “someone turned the wind.”

Local presses ran a story about the sign and CNN reportedly requested an interview.

Pittman said WLS-TV“Because immigration is a community topic, what we've been doing with our signs for a while is to take what's going on in our community and turn it into heaven.”

Pittman said he was open to having a conversation about signing messages.

“The immigrants we were talking about are very clear in Sign: Heaven and Hell. And our message is very clear, the Bible is very clear, not everyone reaches heaven.” Pittman said.

Pittman tackled the allegations of controversy in a 14 min video.

I would like to clarify this sign. We did not mention or intend this sign to be about US immigration policy. We understand that immigration is a hot topic today and wanted to use it to turn people's attention into heaven. Did not mention it Country or group of people. We don't want everything to go to heaven and our community to look into our relationship with the Almighty God. People are caused by the word “immigrant.” We stood up against “immigration” to heaven, not the United States. Can't you use the term immigration freely in church posts?

However, some of the Palatine community are crossed over the church signs.

“Part of the reason we moved to Palatine is that diversity shows our kids that everyone has the opportunity, love each other and sees something like this really upsetting. “It was something that could be done,” said Katherine Huddleston, a resident of Palatine.

The moment is absolutely inappropriate and creates real fear in school-age children.”

“I couldn't believe it was a message that would come up in my community,” resident Teresa Greenwig added.

Greinig told WLS that she is creating “signs of positivity” to mobilize the community and place it around the New Hope community church.

Some critics are said to have called Pittman a “white supremacist.” Pastor Pittman is black.
