Pritzker Calls for Trump’s Removal Under 25th Amendment
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, a Democrat running for a third term, has again urged for President Donald Trump to be removed from office using the 25th Amendment.
“President Trump has made threats to obliterate entire civilizations. Honestly, there is something fundamentally off about this man. We need to invoke the 25th Amendment before it’s too late,” Pritzker stated in a recent announcement. He emphasized the need for Trump to resign for the sake of national security.
Pritzker Reminds About Previous Calls for Action
This is not the first time Pritzker has raised concerns. Earlier this week, he echoed calls for the same action following a controversial post from Trump on Truth Social. In his post, Trump ominously claimed, “Tonight the entire civilization will perish, never to rise again.”
“This isn’t just an issue of foreign policy. This is a man—an unstable individual—threatening to wreak havoc on a nation. The moment has passed; the 25th Amendment must be put into action,” Pritzker remarked.
He also recalled that he had previously pushed for the 25th Amendment to be invoked several months ago.
Responses to Trump’s Threats
Pritzker has consistently voiced his belief that Trump should be removed from power. In a video clip shared on social media, he reiterated, “I’ve been saying this for months: Donald Trump needs to go.” He referenced a previous call for invoking the 25th Amendment, stating, “There’s something really wrong with this guy.”
Fox News Digital has reached out to the White House for comments on Pritzker’s statements.
Despite Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire, which would temporarily halt attacks for two weeks, Democrats like Pritzker continue to advocate for his removal from office.
