Political commentators relentlessly mocked Vice President Kamala Harris' performance during the presidential campaign. 60 minutes She was interviewed Monday after making false, incoherent and rambling statements.
The interview marked one of the first serious, unscripted interviews she's had since joining the race, and one of the times the host asked her candid questions. Harris has not given many local interviews in battleground states, has largely avoided national newspaper coverage, and has not held any press conferences.
During the 60 Minutes interview, Harris was asked how she would finance the increased spending. She responded by claiming that the billionaire would pay for it. Reason reporter Billy Binion called her answers “financially ignorant” and Tim Young slammed her as “the stupidest candidate in history”.
Harris was asked how she plans to stop an invasion of the southern border. Harris argued that Congress needed to “fix” the problem and launched a fact-check on Breitbart News. Outkick founder Clay Travis accused Harris of giving a “nonsense” answer.
Mr. Harris often gave rambling answers to questions. When asked why she has changed many of the policy positions she ran for just four years ago, Harris concluded that her “values” have not changed. Trump War Room X Account ridiculed Ms Harris said she had not changed her “Marxist” values, while the TikTok X account Lib accused her of being a “complete train wreck”.
Ms. Harris' misleading statements did not fit into her flip-flops. Harris also suggested she was “chosen” to be the Democratic nominee, sparking a new Breitbart News fact check.
Although Harris won a majority of delegates and became the party's nominee, she received zero votes in the Democratic primary. After the Democratic primary ended with President Joe Biden as the nominee and then withdrawing from the race under pressure from Democrats and the media, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Sen. Barack Obama and other Democratic leaders have withdrawn from President Biden's campaign. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) lined up behind Harris and supported her efforts to win a majority of Democratic delegates.
“Breaking news: @KamalaHarris totally bombed the @60Minutes interview,” Fox News' Jesse Watters posted on X, as did others criticizing Harris' performance.
