On Saturday, Congressman Buddy Carter (R-GA) expressed his commitment to unseat Senator John Ossoff (D-GA), whom he referred to as a “Trans Warrior.” He identified himself as a “MAGA Warrior” and emphasized his determination to work hard toward this goal.
Carter is challenging Ossoff, stating it’s “absurd” for a red state like Georgia to have two Democratic senators representing it in the Senate.
Having served in the Georgia House of Representatives for over a decade, Carter is a long-time conservative politician.
“I’m for you, I’m a MAGA warrior. Ossoff is a Trans Warrior for them,” he remarked in an interview with Matthew Boyle on Saturday. “We need to push him out and work hard to make that happen.”
Carter believes Ossoff “does not reflect the values of Georgia” and aligns more with politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders than with the residents of Georgia.
Georgia conservatives have also noted that Ossoff’s policies adversely affect the country’s energy independence.
As a member of the House Budget Committee, Carter stated that Republicans may introduce a significant bill next week focusing on border security and energy development.
He expressed that the goal is to strengthen Republican representation in both the House and Senate for the upcoming 2026 midterm elections.
“We aim to retain control of the House and expand our majority there as well as in the Senate,” he affirmed.
Carter suggested that Republican momentum will be fueled by the energy from Trump and a strong pace of progress.
He added, “I would argue that no president has accomplished as much in their first 100 days as Trump did.”
