Iman Keriff looks forward to defending the Olympic title in Los Angeles and says he will not be threatened by US President Donald Trump.
The 25-year-old Algerian boxer, who won gold amid controversy and media attention at last year's Parisiolm, has shown her intention to repeat the feat in 2028, and is back after Trump falsely claimed he was transgender in August.
Talk to ITV News In the interview For airing Wednesday evening, Keriff said: “I give you a simple answer: The US President has announced a decision related to American transgender policy. I am not transgender. This is not about me, it does not threaten me.
It came after Keriff interrupted questions about her dream of repeating her victory. Kerif's victory in Paris, along with Taiwan's Lin Yu Ching, sparked a debate on gender eligibility. The measurements were made by famous figures such as Trump, Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling.
Keriff, who launched a “cyberharassment” lawsuit named both Mask and Rowling in August, revealed that she was “deeply affected” by the surrounding “major media campaigns,” and said her mother went to the hospital almost every day as her family was bearing the brunt of the attack.
The invasion follows the International Olympic Committee (IOC) decision in 2023 to reject a blood test that prompted Keriff and Lynn to complain from the World Championships.
Keriff said: “As we say in Algeria, those who have nothing to hide must have fear. The truth was revealed at the Olympics in Paris. [IOC] In Paris. ”
She added: “I consider myself a girl just like any other girl. I was born and raised as a girl and lived my life alone. I have competed in many tournaments, including the Tokyo Olympics and other major tournaments, four world championships, and more.
“All of these were done before I won and won the title,” Keriff continued. “But once I started to achieve success, the campaign against me began.
