Responders detected elevated levels of ammonia nitrogen in the water due to a leak in a 30,000-gallon liquid nitrogen fertilizer storage tank at the nearby Scott Miller Farm. Officials said the farm’s owner had taken steps to contain the leak. Meanwhile, they are advising people and animals not to enter the water while the investigation continues.
