Indiana State Police are continuing to search for the body of a missing HVAC technician who was apparently killed by his 17-year-old son and then dumped in an Indianapolis river.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) detectives arrested 17-year-old David Perry on June 1 for his alleged involvement in the murder of his father, Brandon Perry, 35.
According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, David allegedly killed his father and dumped his body in a large trash can in the White River.
Police say Brandon’s body has not yet been found.

On May 29, detectives with the Indiana State Police Missing Persons Unit began investigating the disappearance of Brandon Perry, who was reportedly last seen on May 26.
According to court documents, Perry’s sister discovered “a large amount of blood” on the bottom of the mattress after searching the home and filing a missing person’s report with police.
Investigators later found blood on the basement stairs and a makeshift incinerator in the home’s backyard, where police were able to recover Perry’s driver’s license, as well as damaged credit and business cards, according to documents.
Investigators later discovered a handgun Perry had purchased and given to his son, David, was missing, along with a large blue Republic trash can, and a large amount of trash was on the ground where the can would normally be, according to court documents.

Police also discovered that on May 26, the day Perry reportedly went missing, David went to Walmart and purchased a red dolly, a vacuum cleaner, a small fan, seat covers, candles, a belt and a small gun safe. The gun safe was found in David’s car with a gun inside, court documents state.
Based on security camera footage, physical evidence and multiple interviews, detectives believe Perry was murdered by his son.
According to court documents, David allegedly told his aunt that he had dumped the trash can “about an hour south” and that the lid of the can “was stuck on and wouldn’t open.”

Text messages found by police also showed David telling someone he was planning to leave home at the end of the month after an argument with his father.
Police later spoke with the person David had been texting, who said David couldn’t return to his home but didn’t say why.
