Democratic strategist James Carville said Monday on NewsNation’s “Cuomo” that it’s “inevitable” that President Joe Biden will drop out of the presidential race.
Of Biden, Carville said, “Of course, if he were the nominee running against Trump, I would support him. But that’s not going to happen. This is not an insider game. 50 million people watched this so-called debate. We all know what’s going on here. We’ve all been through it. We’ve seen our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, relatives go through it. It’s all just a matter of time. The question is, how do we move forward in the short time frame we have here?”
He continued, “He’s come to the conclusion that this isn’t a good idea and he’s going to fight back against it and listen to his family.”
Carville added: “I’m not predicting things. I’m just saying it’s inevitable. He will come to a conclusion. People will give him the message. He will understand. His family will understand. They will pray and they will make the right decision. I have no doubt about that.”
He concluded: “We’re at a wall. We’re at a wall. We’re at a wall. We’re at a wall. We’re at a wall. We know we have to do something different.”
