After suffering a heartbreaking one-point loss to the Detroit Lions on the road, the Los Angeles Rams had to wait hours to fly home due to multiple flight delays, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The poor Rams couldn't catch a break. Instead of flying out of Detroit immediately after the loss, the team sat on the tarmac wallowing in the misery of the loss and had to wait until Monday morning to return home.
“Not that they needed it after a blowout loss to the Lions in the playoffs, but the Rams just landed from a flight from Detroit after plane trouble and hours of delays,” Rapoport said of the Rams. He tweeted just before noon on Monday, more than 12 hours after the game. he concluded. “It's not ideal,” Rapoport added.

Well, if it rains, I think it will rain heavily. Although not literally in this case, the absolutely frigid conditions in Detroit may have contributed to the “plane problem.” On Sunday night, the low temperature in the city was just 1 degree Fahrenheit. After losing by just one point and being eliminated from the playoffs, the Rams sit for hours on the cold pavement, contemplating how close they came to glory. Talk about being brutal.
