The beloved internet sports personality and Lions Super Fan Andy Isaac passed away Thursday morning, and his family announced on his popular X account @worldofisaac about two weeks after revealing that he was taking part in hospice care after a 19-year battle with cancer.
He was 45 years old, According to Detroit News.
“Good morning. Andy passed away peacefully this morning by his beloved family. I would like to thank you for your support and love over the years. This was a space of true laughter and kindness. Take this spirit with you in honor of Andy. As always, Faturday Forever and FTB,” the Isaac family wrote.
Isaac had previously posted a heartbreaking message that his 19-year battle with cancer made the most of him and that his quality of life began to suffer.
“Having cancer since 2006 has finally hit me,” Isaac said in his final message on February 18th. Life over the last few months and years has been a struggle. I hope you can find peace in the hospice. I might keep my last day journal. I don't really know yet. I'm tired and in pain. I have a terrible foot infection that keeps me from walking, and I don't have the power to do all the last minute things I want. But I'll give it a try.
Isaac previously said in an interview with Athletic that he was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in 2006.
