Intimacy Bans Lifted, 300k Condoms Distributed Ahead of Paris Olympics

The ban on intimate relationships implemented at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in response to the coronavirus outbreak has officially ended. Officials told Sky News last week that 300,000 tickets would be distributed to athletes traveling to France for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Yes, condoms were also distributed to athletes in Tokyo. However, I was told not to use it. Four years on, the players in Paris are not subject to such restrictions or guidelines.

“It’s very important that the convivial atmosphere here is big,” says Olympic Village director Laurent Michaud. Said Sky News.

With a total of 14,500 athletes expected to participate, 300,000 condoms would be enough for each athlete to have…well…a lot of sex.

“We wanted to work with the athlete committee to create a place where the athletes felt very engaged and comfortable,” Michaud said.

Once the ban on intimate relationships is lifted, enthusiasm should definitely increase.

Lest there be the false impression that the French were only interested in the players’ sex, Michaud also ensured that the players were provided with plenty of food. More than 400 yards of buffet stations, to be exact.

“I’m sure the players will be happy to have French specialties prepared here,” Michaud explained.

“But that diversity will first address athletes’ needs for nutrition and performance,” he added.

Considering what athletes do during and after competition, they likely need a lot of nutrition.
