Intoxicated traveler removed from flight after pulling a woman's hair and kicking while restrained: video

Police reports and trial footage reveal that a drunken passenger caused a commotion at LaGuardia Airport, leading to her being forcibly removed from a Southwest Airlines flight. The incident occurred around 1 AM on Tuesday, involving 32-year-old Leanna Perry, who was charged with aggravated assault, according to the Port Authority Police Department (PAPD).

Videos from within the aircraft show other passengers and airline staff trying to intervene as the woman clung to another person’s hair, hurling insults and calling them names.

“Let go of her hair,” one passenger can be heard urging, but Perry, bizarrely, claims she’s not touching anyone’s hair, despite the evident struggle.

As chaos unfolded, she shouted vicious insults and even kicked passengers while staff tried to manage the situation. A clip of the incident was shared on Reddit shortly after.

Perry, with her hands restrained, continued her tirade, labeling someone as “ugly” while making other disparaging remarks.

Among her bizarre comments was an unsolicited remark about someone’s boyfriend. The video captured her expressing distress, saying she “can’t breathe,” and then collapsing onto the cabin floor.

In a moment of frustration, she yelled, “f—k you!” while kicking outwards.

“Can someone do something?” one passenger desperately asked, trying to help amid the chaos.

As a few attempts were made to assist her, she became emotional, insisting she wanted to be left alone before launching into another rant as the recording concluded.

Port Authority police confirmed they were called to respond to reports of inebriated passengers on a Southwest flight at Terminal B of LaGuardia Airport.

Following the incident, Perry was taken to a local hospital before being handed over to the New York City Department of Corrections, as stated by police.

A spokesperson for Southwest Airlines noted that the passenger involved had been removed from the flight and subsequently denied boarding. The airline commended its team for their professionalism during the troubling situation.
