Investigation launched by Education Department into claims of groping by undocumented individual involving students

Parents in Virginia upset after undocumented immigrant charged with inappropriately touching girls at school

Investigation Launched into Fairfax County High School Incident

The U.S. Department of Education has initiated a further investigation in Fairfax County, Virginia. This follows allegations against an undocumented immigrant suspected of molesting over a dozen underage girls at a local high school.

Reports emerged earlier this week, citing complaints from twelve high school girls accusing a male student of sexual assault. This incident has sparked outrage among parents, who are expressing concern over how the school managed the situations involving Israel Flores Ortiz, an 18-year-old undocumented immigrant accused of inappropriate behavior.

Flores Ortiz faces multiple counts of assault and battery, allegedly targeting a female classmate on the school grounds. Fairfax Police were alerted to the situation on March 5, leading to an arrest warrant, with Flores Ortiz surrendering shortly after. He is currently held without bail in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

As reported, Flores Ortiz is an immigrant from El Salvador who was released in 2024 under the Biden administration. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement noted he could face deportation while in federal custody.

“It’s frightening as a parent to think your child might not be safe at school,” mentioned a concerned parent. Such sentiments reflect the fear that many parents have when sending their daughters off to school, expecting them to be protected.

A spokesperson from Fairfax County Public Schools confirmed the ongoing investigation, stating that they are cooperating fully with the Department of Education. The district maintains a commitment to student safety and has initiated an independent review to clarify the events surrounding the allegations.

This incident is one of several that have prompted scrutiny of schools in Northern Virginia, as the Department of Education investigates reported inappropriate behavior in female-only spaces due to gender identity policies.

In light of these developments, the Department expressed serious concerns regarding the implications of radical ideologies in the education system, advocating for immediate action to protect students.
