Investigation — Track the Money: DOJ Examines Funding of U.S. Leftists by China-Based Billionaire Neville Roy Singham

DOJ Investigates Chinese Billionaire for Financial Crimes

The U.S. Department of Justice is looking into Neville Roy Singham, a billionaire based in China, for possible financial misconduct, according to reports. This investigation was referenced by FOX News recently.

Peter Schweitzer, a senior contributor at Breitbart News, has a book coming out in 2024 titled Blood Money: Why those in power turn a blind eye while China kills Americans. In it, he claims that Singham and Alibaba co-founder Joseph Tsai have allegedly backed extremist groups that leverage issues like transgenderism against capitalism.

The report highlighted that Singham’s substantial resources are used to support various socialist, communist, and Marxist organizations around the United States.

A grand jury in Manhattan issued a subpoena as part of an investigation led by U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton in the Southern District of New York. This district is one of the most powerful federal prosecutorial areas. The probe was authorized by Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche, following efforts by the Trump administration to address fraud and other financial crimes in the nonprofit sector, which is worth billions.

This inquiry stems from a Fox News Digital investigation from mid-March that detailed how Singham allegedly moved $285 million from Shanghai to a Goldman Sachs charity, along with two shell companies. This money was reportedly directed toward nonprofits and activist groups advocating for divisive identities and supporting socialist candidates.

Investigators from Fox are looking into the flow of funds within this leftist network to see if any wire fraud, bank fraud, or money laundering has taken place.

In March 2024, Breitbart News reported on Singham’s purported close ties to Communist China and his involvement with its propaganda efforts.

Interestingly, Singham has allegedly channeled over $100 million to radical leftist organizations in the U.S., including groups like Code Pink—co-founded by his wife Jodi Evans—and People’s Forum, which is reportedly linked to the PSL, according to Schweitzer.

In February, an analysis of company records by the Breitbart News Foundation revealed stronger connections between Singham’s Shanghai-based consulting firm, Star Stream, and a Chinese media company than had been previously acknowledged. This firm allegedly focuses on Chinese Communist propaganda.

Fox’s investigative report also revealed several instances of Singham discussing a “new world order” while labeling the United States a “fascist” nation.

Furthermore, a comprehensive 172-page report surfaced where Singham outlined his vision for change, invoking Mao Zedong’s strategies for a “people’s war” to propagate communism. Mao himself drew inspiration from earlier communist figures like Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin.
