Iowa State star Caitlin Clark showed once again why she is one of the best basketball players in the nation. Clark took a shot from the edge of the half-court logo at the buzzer on Tuesday night, helping the fourth-ranked Hawkeyes survive an upset scare against Michigan State.
Clark's game-winning 3-pointer capped off her incredible 40-point performance. With this win, Iowa State's record improved to 14-1. Immediately after making her shot, Clark sprinted to the front row to celebrate with a raucous crowd inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
If Clark had missed his shot from far beyond the 3-point arc, the game likely would have gone into overtime.
