Apple Launches iPhone 18 Pro Lineup and Foldable iPhone Duo

Apple enthusiasts flocked to stores globally on Friday, eagerly waiting to snag the new iPhone models.

The recently introduced iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, announced during Apple’s annual event last week—alongside the foldable iPhone Duo—feature a redesigned camera that mimics the capabilities of a DSLR, especially beneficial in low-light settings. Plus, it offers improved depth of field, which is pretty exciting for photography lovers.

Another interesting development is that the iPhone 18s will have the ability to detect AI-generated images by creating a permanent Reference Image that remains alongside the edited one. It’s a little quirky but should help in distinguishing real photos from the altered ones.

The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, while the Pro Max begins at $1,299, and Apple has leasing options available through its Upgrade program. This pricing might raise some eyebrows, but the features seem to promise a lot.

The latest iPhone also introduces an upgraded version of Siri, dubbed Siri AI. Although announced back in June, it was delayed to ensure everything was polished. This new assistant, powered by Apple Intelligence, is designed to pull information from various sources like messages, emails, and photos. So, users should soon be able to draft and edit messages, as well as revisit past conversations—all through Siri.
