The FBI said Iran sent hacked information from the Trump campaign to the Biden campaign.
They were sent between late June and early July.
The Washington Examiner reported:
The FBI said Wednesday that Iranian hackers not only stole information from former President Donald Trump's campaign but also shared it with President Joe Biden's campaign in an attempt to interfere in the election.
The official said there was no evidence that the Biden campaign requested or responded to the emails.
The emails were sent to the Biden campaign between late June and early July before Biden dropped out of the race on July 21. According to a U.S. government statement, the emails “contained excerpts of non-public materials stolen from former President Trump's campaign.”
Cyber attackers continue to send emails related to the Trump campaign to media organizations, but the news outlets have refused to release details.
Trump responded to the news on Truth Social:
Wow, just announced! The FBI has found that Iran spied on my campaign and provided all that information to Kamala Harris' campaign, meaning she and her campaign illegally spied on me. It will be known as the Iran Iran Iran affair! Will Kamala retire from politics in disgrace? Will the Communist Left choose a new candidate to replace her?
